Yellow-legged Gull

An adult Yellow-legged Gull which was found at Lower Milovaig, Glendale, by Andy Stables on 23.2.2019 has been accepted by the Scottish Birds Records Committee (SBRC). It is the first record for Skye and only the 3rd record for Highland. It becomes species no. 264 on the Skye list. The bird remained in the area for several weeks associating with Herring Gulls and was seen by several observers, mainly in the Lower Milovaig/Meanish Pier area and also at Loch Mor, Waterstein. It was last seen on 31.3.2019.
